Ruins at Saqqara
In short
  • "Private" here: 56 tours are just your group; on 17 the activity is shared while the transfers and guide stay private.
  • "Without traffic" drive times come from map routing: the shortest a drive can take, not a forecast.
  • An Egyptologist is a guide trained in ancient Egyptian history; 44 of our tours list one.
  • "Last entry" comes before closing: at Karnak, last entry is 4 p.m. on the Ministry's ticketing portal, and the site closes at 5 p.m.
  • A student ticket needs a valid student ID, and the student must be 24 or younger.

These are the terms you meet on Egypt day tour pages and in booking replies, from "private" and "without traffic" to "Egyptologist", "felucca" and "last entry". Each is defined as this site uses it, with the figure or rule behind it where one exists, so a tour page reads the same to you as it does to us.
