In short
  • Prices are per person, for 2 or more people; 8 tours show a 'from' price, from $42 (quad bike at the Giza pyramids) to $162 (Abu Simbel); 24 tours show an approximate price taken from similar tours on the market, and the others are priced on request.
  • No payment is taken with the request; a booking is confirmed with a 25% deposit paid online, and the rest is paid in cash on the day of the tour.
  • Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the tour starts; less than 24 hours before, or a no-show, there is no refund.
  • Domestic flights are never part of a tour price, on any of the 7 tours that travel by plane.
  • 53 tours include the entrance fees to the sites in the program; 71 tours list tipping as not included.

On egyptdaytours.net, a site dedicated to day tours in Egypt, prices are per person, for 2 or more people. 8 tours show a "from" price, from $42 for the quad bike at the Giza pyramids to $162 for Abu Simbel; 24 tours show an approximate price taken from similar tours on the market, which the quote confirms; every other tour is priced on request, and the reply to your request gives the price for your date. Domestic flights are never in the price.

Three ways a price is shown

What the tour page showsToursHow you get your price
A "from" price8 tours, from $42 (quad bike at the Giza pyramids) to $162 (Abu Simbel)Per person, for 2 or more people; send a request for the price on your date
An approximate price24 toursThe figure is taken from similar tours on the market, not set for this tour; the quote gives the price for your date
Price on requestThe other toursSend a request with the date, the number of people and your contact details; the reply gives the price for that date and the plan for the day

A "from" price is where a tour's price starts. The two ends of the range are the quad bike ride at the Giza pyramids and the Abu Simbel tour from Aswan. All three kinds of tour are booked the same way. The guide-only bookings in Cairo, Luxor, Aswan and Alexandria, such as a guide only in Luxor, have no published price: the price is sent with the quote. Prices are set for 2 or more people, so if you travel alone, say so in your request.

What the price covers

The price is for the day as the tour page lists it, hotel to hotel. Across the site:

  • Hotel pickup and return on every tour, and a private car and guide for your group. On 17 tours the activity itself, such as a boat, a show or a safari, is shared with other guests.
  • Entrance fees to the sites in the program on 53 tours.
  • Bottled water on 72 tours.
  • Lunch on 30 tours; on 7 tours lunch is optional and not included.

The item-by-item detail is in what is included in an Egypt day tour.

What is outside the price

  • Domestic flights. 7 tours travel by plane, and on all of them the flight tickets are not included in the tour price. See Egypt day trips by plane.
  • Tips. 71 tours list tipping as not included.
  • Optional extras. Going inside the Great Pyramid, an extra on 12 tours, and the Tutankhamun tomb ticket in the Valley of the Kings, an extra on 7 tours.
  • Personal expenses and extras not mentioned in the program, which many tour pages list as not included.

Site tickets, for reference

Where a tour lists entrance fees, the tickets for its stops are in the tour price. The table shows what some of those tickets cost a foreign visitor, in Egyptian pounds (EGP), as of August 2026, and which ones are extras. Students with a valid ID, aged 24 or younger, pay the student rate.

Getting your price

  1. Send a request from the form on the tour page, the contact page, WhatsApp or phone, with the date, the number of people and your contact details. No payment is taken with the request.
  2. The reply gives the price for that date and the plan for the day.
  3. You confirm with a 25% deposit paid online, by card or PayPal, and the pickup is booked. The pickup time is confirmed then, because traffic and your hotel's location change it.
  4. The rest is paid in cash on the day of the tour.
