- Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the tour starts, with a full refund.
- Less than 24 hours before, or a no-show: no refund. The date can be changed free up to 24 hours before.
- If we cancel a tour, the refund is full; a balloon canceled for weather gets another date or a full refund.
- Our terms do not cover a sea trip stopped by weather or a site closed that day: ask us before you book.
- News reports show ports and sites do close; the sources give no refund rule.
Under this site's own booking terms, you can cancel free up to 24 hours before the tour starts and get a full refund; after that, or if you do not show up, there is no refund. The date can be changed free up to 24 hours before, subject to availability. If we cancel, the refund is full. For a sea trip stopped by weather or a site closed that day, our written terms say nothing, so ask us before you book.

What sources customarily say about weather and closures
This section is background from news reports read in October 2026. It is customary practice and not our policy.
Sea trips. Reports describe the Red Sea Ports Authority closing the Hurghada port for poor weather and suspending all maritime activities, and diving centers in Hurghada, Gouna and Safaga stopping boat trips to reefs and islands until conditions improved. The reports are from 2017 and 2018, so they show a pattern, not today's status. Operators vary in what they offer afterward, and the sources do not give a refund rule.
Closed sites. Sites can close for a day or for maintenance. One report says the Grand Egyptian Museum closed for one day on September 2, 2026, with no reason given, and that travel agents were told. A 2014 report says a planned maintenance closure of Tutankhamun's tomb was called off until the end of the season. So a closure can come with little notice, and a planned one can change.
