Vehicles, guides, group size and languages on private Egypt day tours

On Egypt Day Tours, private means the car and the guide are for your group only. What private means

Every tour is private for the group's car and guide. On 70 tours the whole day is private, just your group. The tour pages name the kind of vehicle in the included list. They do not give a make, a model or a number of seats, so if a seat count matters to you, ask when you request the quote.

The guide: Egyptologist or guide

An Egyptologist is a guide trained in ancient Egyptian history. 51 tours list an English-speaking Egyptologist; the others list an English-speaking guide or tour leader. The wording follows the tour: the Pyramids, Memphis and Saqqara tour lists a private English Egyptologist guide, and the Mount Sinai tour from Sharm El Sheikh lists a Bedouin guide for the climb. A guide alone, in six languages

If you already have a car, or want to plan the day yourself, you can book the guide without a tour. A private guide can be booked in English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French or Italian, in four cities: Cairo, Aswan, Alexandria and Luxor (linked in the table above). The booking is for a half day or a full day, for the sites and hours you choose. A car and the entrance fees can be added on request, and the price is sent with the quote.

Group size

Because the car and the guide are for your group only, the day is planned for the people in your request. Prices are per person, for 2 or more people. The request form asks for the number of people for that reason. If you travel with a large family or a group of friends, or need a child seat, write it in the first message instead of discovering it at pickup.
